Trinational training about international exchanges

This training is addressed to teachers, teamers or coordinators from France, Germany and Poland, willing to develop international exchanges projects. Through this training, we want to give you the keys needed to create, prepare, implement and evaluate an intercultural youth exchange. The first part will be in Châteaulin, in Brittany, starting with an intensive phase of getting to know each other.
The main theme, then, will be intercultural work during the youth meetings :

  • How do we define the concept of culture and what is happening when people from different cultures are gathering together?
  • What means the expression « intercultural shock », and how can we turn this shock into a positive experience?
  • What are the similarities and differences between the pedagogical conceptions in the three countries represented, what consequences can it create in our work?
  • What is the role of an intercultural teamer in our society? For what the intercultural youth meetings are made for?
  • What is linguistic animation, and how does it helps communication between the youth?

To approach theses issues, we’ll use different exercice in full group, or small group, of discussion, evaluation, role-plays and simulation. We want the learning process to be as active as possible, using theoretical contributions to illustrate the experiences of the participants.

 

Training Course : « Intercultural exchanges step by step » phase 2

  • Date: from 1st to 8th July 2018, in Werbellinse (Germany)

« Step by step : 2nd phase »
Trinational training about international exchanges

This second part of the training will take place in Werbellinsee, nearby Berlin. The main thematic is the implementation of an exchange, from its creation to its evaluation :

  • How to find partner organisations in Europe and create a network?
  • How to prepare, implement and evaluate an international youth exchange?
  • What are precisely the missions and conditions of the French-German Office and German-Polish Office for Youth?
  • How to find fundings, and ask for a grant request? What is the active pedagogy (Erlebnispädagogik) ?

To approach theses issues, we’ll use different exercice in full group, or small group, of discussion, evaluation, role-plays and simulation. We want the learning process to be as active as possible, using theoretical contributions to illustrate the experiences of the participants.

 

Training Course : « Intercultural exchanges step by step » phase 3

  • Date : from 11th to 18th January 2019 in Wroclaw (Poland)

« Step by step : 3rd phase »
Trinational training about international exchanges

This third phase will take place in Wroclaw, in Poland. The main topin is intercultural communication and conflicts solving :

  • How to handle a conflict in an intercultural frame?
  • What is intercultural communication, and which tools can we use during international youth exchanges?
  • What are the functions and mechanism of stereotypes and prejudices? Which specific methods can be used with youth?
  • How to write a pedagogical report and estabish the balance sheet of an international youth exchange?

To approach theses issues, we’ll use different exercice in full group, or small group, of discussion, evaluation, role-plays and simulation. We want the learning process to be as active as possible, using theoretical contributions to illustrate the experiences of the participants.
